The Selectpass lets you choose any 3, 4 or 5 Eurail countries that are directly connected by rail or ship. This allows you to save money and only pay for the countries you need. Adjoining countries are defined as being connected by either rail or ship. For example, France, Switzerland and Italy would be a possible 3 country combination, but so would Sweden, Germany and Austria. Some country combinations are considered as only one country: The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg together are considered 1 country called "Benelux"; the combination of Bulgaria, Serbia, and Montenegro are also treated as one country; as is the combination of Slovenia and Croatia. | Countries that are connected by rail or by ship | | Country | Connected to... | | Austria | Germany, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia/Croatia | | Benelux | France, Germany, Ireland | | Bulgaria/Serbia/Montenegro | Romania, Hungary, Slovenia/Croatia, Greece | | Denmark | Germany, Norway, Sweden | | Finland | Germany, Sweden | | France | Benelux, Germany, Rep. of Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland | | Germany | Austria, Benelux, Denmark, Finland, France, Sweden, Switzerland | | Greece | Italy, Bulgaria/Serbia/Montenegro | | Hungary | Austria, Romania, Bulgaria/Serbia/Montenegro, Slovenia/Croatia | | Rep. of Ireland | France, Benelux | | Italy | Austria, France, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Slovenia/Croatia | | Norway | Denmark, Sweden | | Portugal | Spain | | Romania | Hungary, Bulgaria/Serbia/Montenegro | | Slovenia/Croatia | Italy, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria/Serbia/Montenegro | | Spain | Italy, France, Portugal | | Sweden | Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway | | Switzerland | Austria, France, Germany, Italy |
