Barra de Navidad is in the state of Jalisco, same state as Puerto Vallarta, with the exception of Isla Navidad, which is in Colima. on the
Pacific coast of Mexico. It is on the same latitude as Hawaii, and has
a wonderful, moderate climate. There are about 10 kilometres of
golden sand beaches, right in town. Beach front real estate abounds!

Barra de Navidad is home to about 5000 residents, and can boast the number 1 resort in all of Mexico.  Wonderful small town feel, sharing the bay with Melaque and San Patricio. Located approx 200km south of Puerto Vallarta, Barra de Navidad offers beautiful unspoiled beaches, fabulous restaurants, and friendly people

While this is not a shopping Mecca, of department stores, and malls.  The city abounds with tourist shops offering quaint and local items.  From Silver to items from local artists.  A town that should not be missed in any tour itinerary

Several major airlines service Manzanillo, including Alaska,
Continental, Delta, Mexicana, Aero Mexico, and Magna Charters. During
the winter, charters from Canada and the United States also service
Barra de Navidad via Manzanillo's Costa del Sol Airport.

No matter how you look at it, Barra de Navidad, Melaque and the whole area is a great place to visit and live, and real estate is still a relative bargain.
